Ummeed Child Development Center is hosting a workshop to introduce Using Narrative Therapy in Counseling with Children
Maggie Carey from Narrative Practices, Adelaide.
The narrative approach is an effective way of working with children with varied concerns such as mental health issues, ADHD, LD, Autism etc. This approach is a respectful, non-blaming approach that allows the child and therapist to understand the problem and its effects and to collaboratively come to solutions to the difficulties that are faced.
This one day workshop is an introduction to the principles and practice of Narrative Therapy and will be suitable for counsellors, therapists, psychologists, social workers, community workers and support workers, teachers and anyone who is working in the human services.
