Preeti has engaged in therapeutic conversations with individuals and families for the past 15 years. Guided by the rich stories that lie within people, these conversations function as spaces that help clients reflect upon their narratives and create new ones. New ones that are shaped by the person they are and not by the givens of the plot.

An independent practitioner,she also consults at Sapling Nursery School,Pune.Sapling is an inclusive Pre Primary school, committed to make learning meaningful and relevant for every child. At school,she works closely with the teachers to understand the needs of different learners simultaneously, providing therapeutic support to these children and their families for behavioural, familial and parenting concerns.

A firm believer in inclusion, she has worked at creating policies, sensitising and mentoring stakeholders to create systems of intervention and support in schools. She also conducts community-based training and sensitisation programs in the field of mental health.

Preeti holds a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Tata Institute of SocialSciences,Mumbai,works as a Psychotherapist, and uses her training in Psychotherapy and Narrative Therapy extensively in her practise.

Preeti will be sharing stories of her work with children and families through Narrative ideas at The Room Full of Stories, International Narrative Therapy Conference India on the 15th & 16th oct’16.
